So here's an idea I've been considering and would like to have your opinion:
In order to make our clan grown, we need to bring more people in, but such will only happen if we promote it, right? So we've gotta attract new people with the best we have: a friendly environment with good players.
With that in mind, I planned this little event for tomorrow: Greatsword Friday!
So how would it work? Pretty simple: In two specific periods (something like 11:00-12:30 /19:00-20:30, always SST), we'll be outside town (possibly at Thuerigen Lakeside or Reboldeaux Queen's Gate, more likely the latter), trying to group as many people as possible, to, along with other poses, make a huge line. Stock Fighters, Idges, Battlesmith Idges, Grenmahs, Asokas, Claires...hell, even Claudes and Alejandros ! The purpose is to gather people and have them around for some fun chatting, posing and advertising of our clan, so if your char has Tail Guard, Schiavona, Sidewinder or Sect of Moonlight, he/she's on. How much time will be spent on this activity will depend on the will of the organizers and the feedback from the community.
After this first stage, we'll move those who are interested enough to the PvP officer so we can arrange a friendly Greatswordin' tournament. The idea is to make either 1v1 or 3v3, always on a map that allows the presence of an extra player, who will not be involved with the fight, but only to witness and judge, if necessary.
The rules are very simple:
1) You can bring whoever you wish, but ONLY the Greatsword wielder will be allowed to directly participate in the fight. So let's say you have a team of Asoka-Scout-Wizard. You are allowed to use all the buffs your characters can cast, but only Asoka will be able to fight. Got it?
2) Max AR and DR will vary depending on the characters' lvls, being 61/64 for Vets, 63/66 for Experts and 65/68 for Masters. The limit AR and DR is the sum of gears+lvl+wings+stance buffs (i.e: Bard/Serenade/Prelude/Enhanced Tactics);
3) CS buffs are only allowed for balance purposes, provided it doesn't surpass the limit. This shall be or not applied, according solely to the organizers' discretion.
4) Unless otherwise stated, pets of any sort are NOT allowed. This shall be or not applied, according solely to the organizers' discretion.
5) In case of divergences or requests, final decision will always belong to the organizer.
Needless to say, there will be no prizes, for the purpose is only to have fun. In a future edition, we might even have a prize for it.
